Busy busy busy

Ok Ill start with last wednesday 21st March!!

Event 1: Had a busy day with lectures and then stayed up talking for ages! Only to get to bed for an hour and the fire alarm to go off!! Now bearing in mind we live in halls and its 4.30 in the morning, tipping it down with rain they decide to do a fire practice!! Not only that but they make us get into lines and count!! yes count!
I went out there with my slippers and duvet wrapped around me, as you may have guessed my duvet was pretty wet by the time we got back inside! So we were stood outside in the middle of the night and security is asking us to count. Now my boyfriend Lee being the guy he is when he is tired wasn't best impressed like the rest of us really.
Security "now say one."
Lee mumbles "one"
Security "I cant hear you"
Lee louder "one......we learnt to count when we were five not five at in the morning!"
As you can probably believe we were all quite glad to get back inside into are warm beds. Only for all of the other halls to have a fire practice to!
The fire point when there is an alarm is right next to our halls so we were all kept awake by that noisey lot for the next hour!

Event two: Drama of the night all over. In the morning I go downstairs to find someone has set the toaster on fire and you can't see in the kitchen for smoke! I tell you university is a dangerous place your application should come with a safety warning and a common sense test just to determine that you can look after yourself!! Anyway Chris the clever boy that he is tried to blow out the fire yes with the air from his lungs!!! Thank goodness someone had the sense to unplug the toaster!
You will never guess what chris did once the fire had just gone out.... nope no guesses?!!
He tried to pick the toaster up with his bare hands...considering it had just been on fire and the sides of the toaster had melted completely!! It's not surprizing that he burnt his hands really!

Event three: We reached Friday at long last it has been a pretty trying week so far has the drama finished?!! No far from it, what was to come next was just a brilliant way to end this lovely week!
John flooded his room! Yes proper flooded, so much so it was dripping through the ceiling into Mikes room below him. There where puddles on the floor for ages. We all have sinks in are rooms in halls which is quite convienient for brushing teeth and so on, so we recon John left his tape running and the sink got blocked, like they often do in the cheapest halls at uni! But that is just one of those things. Anyway security were called, as it was about 12.30 at night. Now security are a clever bunch of people you would think, especially after proving that they can count from 1 - 50 at 4.30 in the morning! They get to Johns room and decide that they can fix Johns sink (of course they must be plumbers in their free time...every security Guard is........aren't they?!!) They spend the first 5 minutes arguing about whether a bolt on the sink is plastic of mental!! Honestly should we consider ourselves save here at uni if security can't tell the difference between plastic and metal?!! I do wonder sometimes. Well newspaper was put down to soak up the water and a plumber was called first thing the next day thank goodness!

Event four: Another fire, yes another one and this time it was our lovely blond hall warden. One of my best friends here at uni but if they gave her a job as hall warden surely we should be safe living in halls with her?! Thats what I thought. Me and her were sat in her room watching a few clips on youtube (like we do alot here at uni) after she had just come back from the kitchen. I then walk to the kitchen with her to get my food out of the oven, to guys from the floor above us are in our kitchen!! There is smoke everywhere and two black things sat on the grill!! Apparently the two lads had been sat in their kitchen upstairs and seen the smoke rising from our kitchen window, only too come downstairs and find the grill on fire where Jen had left her waffles under the grill and gone back to her room!!

Nevermind I'm sure you will all be glad to here that noone has yet to be hurt in any of the above events....
However, we have since had a letter under ours doors to say that too many people stayed in their rooms during the fire practice! The question I have been asking is how do they know?! They didn't bother to check any of the rooms when the fire alarm was occruing and tow my knowledge only two guys stayed in their rooms in our halls of 30 (they were both very drunk, lazy and insisted the fire wouldnt come and find them!!) 19 of us left are rooms and the rest were away!! It's just not fair, I think they need to check how this system works and try evacuating Chandler halls (my hall) last then we won't be kept awake by the other halls being evacuated!

P.S. Event five: I have since found out that my friend Mave set his bed sheets on fire last week!
I'm sure you are all wondering why because I certainly was, the answer to his question....

I don't know!
Yes Mave of course because every person gets the urge to set their bed sheets alight!!!!!!!
He has since told me that it was some sort of spiritual thing but he still down't know why he did it!
I do wonder whether I'm actually at university most days or that my Parents have secretly conned me into thinking I was going to Uni when they were actually sending me away to a mental place!!

Never fear! I am here!!

Hello hello hello, Yes I am here, yes I am well and no I havn't been abducted by aliens (not to my knowledge anyway!) Well what can I say I have just been so busy in the last month or so, Where do I start?!!
I came home from uni about 15th December 2006 and its just been non stop really!
On the 16th we went down to Kent and avrious other places near there visiting friends and relatives it was quite fun I'm glad I went home early to se them all. This is my cousin Danielle, my sister Tori, Me and my little cousin Emily lieing across us!!

I had a few nights out in Bristol and Swindon with my various friendsjust before christmas; This is some of my Chippenham friends that I met through my first year at chippenham college! They are toally mad and some of the best friends I will ever have,

And these are my Swindon friends that I met in my second year of A Levels at Swindon college, Sophie is the one on the left, Tammy in the middle and me on the right when we won best Music video of the year at college.

I don't really talk to Tammy uch any more asI have found that she has changed quite a bit andno longer seems to be interested in my friendship. I believe that all relationships have to work both ways and if she never bothers to contact me then why should I bother with her!! Since I have been at uni she has found a new group of friends, which is fair enough because the rest of us went to uni. But now it just seems like she is too interested in making everyone like her and is just a bit to self obssessed for her own good. Everyone else of course sees right through her!!

However they turned into two really good nights out. I spent most of my time with Sophie on the Swindon night out while Tammy continued to flirt and gain compliments and big up her own ego mingerling with her many "fans"!!

The night we went to Bristol though was quite entertaining as I was driving and we had really really thick fog I got lost getting to my frineds house!!! and its nearly impossible for someone to get lost getting to her house!! We made it though and I managed to get home by about 4 only to get up the next day at 8 4 my hair appointment. My mum is always saying that youngsters of today have no stamina, I continue to prove her wrong!! Besides I would never miss a hair appointment I love having my hair done, even if it does cost money!!

Christmas was a quiet one spent at home with my Mum, Dad and Sister. It was quite plesant actually becuase we all had space to move and didn't have to stress about how many mouths wanted which food?!! I got some really nice presents, perfume, cds, and soooo much chocolate it even lasted me longer than a week!! It was brilliant!!

After christmas my phone broke :( I hadn't even had it for 2 months!! My new LG Chocolate!! I couldn't hear people when they rang me or I rang them so I took that back and they sent it away saying it could take 6 to 8 weeks!! Great!! Luckily I still had my old phone, but it was at uni.

I went back up to uni on the 30th December where I dropped off loads of stuff and my boyfriend Lee and his Dad Dave picked me up and I went to stay at theirs for new year! I was so nervous but it truned out to be a really good stay! His family are totally mad and so easy to get on with. I think Lees mum quite liked the fact that I had the same name as hers, Kathryn, and spelt the same way too! We broke in the new year at Lees aunties house which was entertaining as I have never actualy been out of my house on new year other than the time I was sat on a plane, but that is another story!! I'm afraid I don't have any pictures from my visit to Lees at the moment I will try and get hold of some though.

Right I need to go and keep my Mother entertained now! It's quite hard work continually having to supervise someone you know I never quite now whats she is going to do next!!!
I will continue this later....

Blogs, Dyslexia, Birthdays and Nominations

Ok, so now my blog is up and running it is likely that I will spend far to much time on here as I do with my many other community and profile sites. Bebo being one of my favourite http://Kathryn245.bebo.com as its easy for me to keep in touch with friends without using all the credit on my phone!! Also Myspace http://www.myspace.com/meower I never did really get into blogging on Bebo and Myspace mainly because it felt like no one apprciated or even read what I had written. Being Dyslexic I never really much enjoyed writting or reading however I've always been assured that practice makes perfect so if I keep trying I might get something out of this blogging!

I was diagnosed with Dyslexia a year ago now I always knew there was something different about me!!! Just all of my teachers over looked it because I have always been fairly bright! (However no where near as bright as my sister, but thats another story) I've had so much support from my college and now university it has made me realise just how much potencial I could now have instead of struggerling! One thing that I've never made sence of though.....why is Dyslexic such a long hard word to spell?!!! I mean doesn't anyone think of these things I mean common sence should kick in at some point for these intelligent professionals who discover these things!!! Never mind maybe one day someone will enlighten me with an answer!

Anyway you shall be pleased to know that all of the university and colleges support has paid off. I got a B- in my first assignment for my tetual film analysis! So I'm fairly pleased!

Last night about 20 of us went out to celebrate Blond Tasha's (theres two tasha living on top floor one with blond hair and one with brown hence blond tasha or brown tasha) 20th Birthday! (Yes another birthday) It was a really good night we started off in the kitchen with lots of party food, which is now the traditional way to start birthday celebrations here in the ghetto (Chandler Hall)! We then continued on the free mini bus to Tramps nightclub in Worcester dressed as devils! £1 Entry on student night and £1 drinks GREAT!! Pictures are to follow sometime soon....

Chandler Halls at Worcester Uni - often refered to as the ghetto - is the cheapest accomidation on campus! The rooms are probably the biggest though! I live in Chandler East there is three floors and each floor has about 12 rooms, 1 kitchen, 2 toilets and 1 bathroom! Its no palace but it's my home at university. The people here are the greatest and I would like to think I have made some friends for life!

Sat in the top floor kitchen this morning chatting away to Laura and Sam and something catches my eye! A list.....I wonder what it could be..........I stand up to get a closer look......a list of names....interesting.....Chandler awards, with suggestions next to each name for awards, Dan - Most vain (yup thats true), Annnie - Most talkative (definately) Me - (wait for it)

"MOST DRAMATIC"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean honestly...........I was speechless...................
ME........
Dramatic...
Never.......
Well maybe sometimes......
But not overly.....
dramatic to me is like Nicki from BigBrother!! It's shocking....yes I am ahocked just shocked! I don't no *sighs* never mind hey!!
